FL: Did the police entrap student during sex sting?

The police absolutely 100% did entrap this guy. It is shameful that the judge and jury both believed he deserved a single day of incarceration.

It gives me hope that people are starting to realize how corrupt these sting operations are and that they are abusing laws that are intended for real victims. A close friend of mine who knows my situation and has kids of his own periodically gets inquiries about me when mutual acquaintances get wind of my past. It’s remarkable the amount of understanding they have regarding my situation after hearing my story. I’m lucky to have a great group of friends who continue to include me in their lives.

The answer is “YES”! Being the victim of a police sting which, like most other stings, involved police roaming adult chat rooms along with numerous other irregularities, it’s definitely entrapment. When law enforcement begs, pleads, or cajoles someone into doing something that they’d normally not do, then its entrapment, plain and simple.
One easy solution is to ban police from adult chat rooms/sites and let them troll the minor’s chat rooms for adults who are actively seeking minors. They need to do real police work instead of skimming the fat off the broth, but then, is law enforcement capable or real police work anymore?

This patsy is no more guilty of a crime than the sex soliciting officer who needs to be charged with ‘sex trafficking’ after offering up the services of a make-believe thirteen year old. Otherwise dismiss this as role-play.
